Estonia's leading banks and technology companies have begun research cooperation into electronic payment solutions that could provide a faster and a wider service to their customers.

The programme for supporting the research and development activity projects of Enterprise Estonia helped Ühendatud Piletite AS develop the RFID ticket validation service required for the provision of the service from 1 February 2012 to 31 March 2013.
